Covista offers a long distance rate of 3.5 cent per minute for state to state calls, as well as respectable in-state and international long distance calls. Billing increments are 6 seconds, with a 6 second minimum for domestic calls, and a 30 second minimum for international calls. Calls to Mexico are billed in full minute increments.

There is never a monthly fee when using autopay with online billing. All other payment methods carry a $1.99 billing fee in months where usage is less than $20. Covista charges standard taxes as all other long distance carriers, as well as a "Carrier Recovery Charge" of $0.99 per month.

Covista long distance is a tiered service, and the above rates only apply in tier A areas. In other areas, availability is limited, and rates vary - please check the Covista website for details. Covista in-state rates vary by state, and are shown in the Covista intrastate rates list. Covista international rates also vary by country. International calls have a mimimum duration of 30 seconds per call, and are billed in six second increments thereafter. Inbound toll-free service is available for a one time $2.00 set-up fee, with no monthly fees and only a $1.00 minimum usage. The inbound toll-free rates are same as for regular long distance calls, and calls from the same state are billed at in-state rates.
